Leathers with new perceptive dimensions.
Among the key trends for Autumn/Winter 2027–2028, the concept of hyper-sensoriality stands out: materials capable of creating a physical and emotional connection with the wearer through touch, softness and a new perceptive dimension. In this scenario, leather evolves and moves increasingly closer to the world of textiles, becoming a fluid, sensitive, almost couture-like surface.
This vision is embodied in our Pluma Étoile articles, expressions of a luxurious and refined aesthetic, distinguished by “furry” surfaces enhanced with delicate silver shimmering effects that evoke the world of couture fabrics. These materials are ideal for elegant and sophisticated creations, perfectly suited for high-end accessories and design details, as well as exclusive footwear and leather goods collections.
Alongside Pluma Étoile, Majon interprets another variation of the same vision. Its name, which means “sweater” in the Venetian dialect, perfectly describes its identity: a leather that visually and tactilely recalls the structure of a thick wool knit. A significant technical challenge, successfully achieved through tanning expertise and continuous material experimentation.
These are complex developments, often created on request for major fashion maisons seeking new expressive possibilities for their collections.
Edoardo Cavallaro, sales support specialist for the leather goods and footwear departments, describes his daily work between material and design as follows:
“It is incredibly rewarding to see our leathers transformed into timeless creations of elegance. Observing designers’ ability to imagine, interpret and anticipate trends is a constant source of inspiration. Our role is to stand beside them, supporting their creative vision.”
Leather thus becomes a material that is no longer simply seen, but felt, experienced and capable of creating connection. In our facilities, located in the heart of the Arzignano tanning district and among the hills of Verona, this evolution takes shape every day: leather as fabric, material as experience, hyper-sensoriality as the future.
